Refunds and cancellations
No payment is taken through this site today, so there is nothing for us to refund. What there is, is a clear rule for who may cancel what, and when.

1. The position today
DanceKaro does not process payments. We charge no fee, take no commission and hold no money on anybody's behalf. What a couple pays a choreographer is paid directly to the choreographer, on whatever terms the two of them agree.
So a refund of money paid for classes is a matter between the couple and the choreographer, on the choreographer's own terms. What follows is how a cancellation works on the platform, and what we expect of both sides.
2. Booking requests
- Before the choreographer answers
- You may withdraw a request at any time, for any reason, at no cost. Nothing has been agreed and nothing is owed.
- If it is not answered
- A request expires on its own after 48 hours and stops being an open offer. You are free to book somebody else, and you do not need to chase anyone to be released.
- If it is declined, or countered
- Declining costs nothing. A counter-offer — different dates, a different price — is a new offer you are free to accept or ignore.
3. Confirmed bookings
Once a request is accepted, an agreement exists between the couple and the choreographer, and it is theirs. Either of you may cancel it on the platform, and either of you may owe the other something under whatever you agreed — that is between you.
What we ask of both sides:
- Cancel on the platform, not only in a message. A cancellation recorded here frees the choreographer's calendar for somebody else, and leaves a record of when it happened if there is later a disagreement.
- Cancel as early as you can. A wedding date given up two months out is a date that can be filled. Two days out, it is not.
- Agree the money in writing before the first class. An advance, and what happens to it if either of you calls off, is the single most common thing to fall out over. Put it in the messages, where both of you can find it.
A choreographer who repeatedly cancels confirmed bookings, or who takes an advance and does not appear, may have their profile unpublished and their account suspended under the terms of use. Tell us if it happens to you — we cannot recover your money, but we can stop it happening to the next couple.
4. Workshops
Places in a workshop cannot currently be booked or paid for through this site. A workshop listing tells you what is on and how to reach the host, and any fee is paid to the host on the host's own terms — including their own cancellation terms, which you should ask about before you pay anything.
If a host cancels or reschedules a workshop, the listing is updated and anybody who registered with the host directly should be contacted by them.
5. If we ever do take payment
Selling places in a workshop is the one thing on the roadmap that would put money through this site. If it ships, this page will be rewritten before it does, and these are the rules it will be rewritten to:
- The host cancels: a full refund of everything paid, including any platform fee, without you having to ask for it.
- The host reschedules: your place moves with it, or you take a full refund — your choice, not theirs.
- You cancel: a full refund up to the cancellation window shown on the workshop's own page, which is set by the host and displayed before you pay. After that window, at the host's discretion.
- A workshop that never happens: a full refund.
- Timing: refunds are issued to the original payment method, and typically reach it within five to seven working days once initiated.
None of that is in force today, because nothing is sold today. It is written down so that it is not invented later under pressure.
6. Disputes
If something has gone wrong and the other side is not responding, write to us. We will look at the record of the booking, contact both of you, and act on the listing where the terms have been broken. We cannot arbitrate a payment we never handled, and we will say so plainly rather than leave you waiting.
How to reach us, including our grievance officer and the window we answer in.
