About DanceKaro
A marketplace for wedding dance choreographers, workshops and studios across Indian metros — built so the people doing the work keep what they charge.
What this is
Booking a choreographer for a sangeet is done over forwarded phone numbers, screenshotted rate cards and a friend of a friend who "knows someone good". It works, eventually, and it is opaque for everybody: a couple cannot compare two people honestly, and a choreographer spends their evenings answering the same five questions.
DanceKaro is the boring fix for that. Choreographers publish a portfolio, the styles they teach, what they charge and the days they are free. Couples browse them, work out roughly how many classes their performance needs, see real availability, and send a request. Studios and groups list under their own name, and the workshops anybody is running are on the same site.
What we do not do
- We do not take a commission. What a choreographer quotes is what they are paid. There is no percentage skimmed off a booking and no fee for being listed.
- We are not a party to your booking. The agreement to teach and to pay is between the couple and the choreographer. We introduce you and get out of the way.
- We do not sell your details. A phone number given to verify an account is used to verify the account. It is not a list, and it is not for sale.
- We do not rank by who paid. There is no promoted slot to buy. The order on a listing comes from ratings, recency and where you are.
The full version of all of that is in the terms of use, and what it costs is on the pricing page.
Who runs it
It is a small operation, which is the reason for most of the decisions above. There is no sales team to feed, so there is no commission to fund one.
If something on the site is wrong, or a listing is not what it claims to be, tell us — the contact page has an address, a phone number and an email, and a person reads all three.
Where we work
Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru today, with a page of its own for each. A city is added when there are enough choreographers published in it to be worth a couple's time — a listing that leads to three names is worse than no listing at all.
Browse every choreographer or see what workshops are coming up.
