For couples
- Browsing and searching
- Free. No account needed — you can read every profile, every workshop and every review signed out.
- Sending a booking request
- Free. You need an account with a verified phone number, which exists so choreographers are not answering requests from nobody.
- The classes themselves
- Whatever the choreographer quotes. Every profile shows a starting price and a per-class rate before you contact anyone, and the request you send names the price you were shown.
- Booking fee, service fee, convenience fee
- None. There is no line added on top of the choreographer's price.
For choreographers and studios
- Listing a profile
- Free. A portfolio, your styles, your rates, your availability and your packages, with no cap on how many enquiries you receive.
- Commission on a booking
- None. The couple pays you directly, and what you charge is what you keep. We never see the money.
- Listing a studio or a workshop
- Free, including the workshop's own page, its city landing page and its place in the listings.
- Promoted placement
- Not sold. There is no paid slot at the top of a listing, and no amount of money moves a profile up one. Ordering comes from ratings, recency and the reader's city.
Why free? Because a percentage on a wedding booking is a percentage on somebody's craft, and because a marketplace that takes a cut has a reason to keep two people talking inside it rather than getting them to the class. We would rather be the place people are found than the place they are billed.
What we do not process
DanceKaro does not currently take payments. There is no card entry on this site, no wallet, and no money held on anybody's behalf. A booking request is an agreement to meet and to teach; the fee is settled directly between the couple and the choreographer, in whatever way the two of them agree.
That is also why the refunds and cancellations policy reads the way it does: a cancellation today is a conversation between the two of you, and there is no transaction of ours to reverse.
If that ever changes
Selling places in a workshop is the one thing on the roadmap that needs money to move through the site, because a place has to be held for whoever paid for it. If and when that ships:
- Any fee will be shown in full, in rupees, on the screen where you pay — before you pay, not in a summary afterwards.
- This page will say what it is, and the date at the top will change.
- It will not be applied retrospectively to a booking already agreed.
- Direct bookings between a couple and a choreographer stay commission-free. That is the promise on every page of this site, and it is not the part being revisited.
Taxes
A choreographer is responsible for their own tax on what they are paid. Because no fee is charged and no payment is processed by us, there is nothing for us to invoice you for today.
